Futbol Salou
Futbol SalouVial Salou Cambrils, 43840 Salou

The tournament is played at Futbol Salou Sports Center - a dedicated football complex on the coast just down from Barcelona, and the home of the whole tournament: every match, from the first group game to the finals, is played here.

The main complex has 8 full-size fields side by side - three high-quality natural grass and five latest-generation artificial grass - with five more fields just behind: four full-size and one smaller, which we also use when the schedule calls for them. Thirteen fields, one venue: no travelling between grounds, no days split across town. Teams warm up, play, watch other matches and meet teams from all over the world in the same place, whether they play in the morning, the evening, or both.

And one thing makes this tournament special: everyone plays from the first day to the last. No team drops out after the group stage - the play-offs carry every team to its own final, A, B, C or D. The full weekend schedule is published before you travel, so every team knows its matches before it even lands.

How it works

Everything you need to know: how to check info and prices, register, manage your team page, follow the deadlines and get ready for the Barcelona Football Festival tournament.

1. Check the tournament info and prices

All age classes, dates, packages and prices are published on this website. Download the brochure or send us a message if anything is unclear - prices per player, coach and supporter depend on the package and room types you choose, and your team page later shows your exact price calculated live from your own rooming list.

2. Register your team

Registration is done online in a few minutes: choose your tournament and age class, fill in the club and contact details, and confirm your place by paying the team registration fee of 600 per team. The fee confirms your team's place and is non-refundable. Places are limited per age class and allocated in order of confirmed registration. Most age classes fill up quite early, so booking your place early is recommended. There is no registration deadline - registration closes when an age class is full. Check availability and register your team before booking flights.

3. Your team page on myteam.info

After confirmation you receive a personal link to your team page by email - no password.

Keep your link safe

Anyone with the link can manage your team - share it only with your team leaders.

On your team page you:

  • add and edit players and coaches (names, dates of birth, shirt numbers) - this becomes your official team list for the age check
  • fill in your travel details (arrival and departure flights) so we can plan your airport transfers
  • build your rooming list and see your price calculated live - participation fees, extra nights, single supplements and child discounts included
  • enter your invoice details (club or company name, VAT number, address)
  • upload your team photo and your federation permission letter
  • book optional excursions (for example Camp Nou tour or PortAventura, where available) until two weeks before the tournament
  • send any request or question directly to the organisation

The overview shows a live checklist: anything missing - contact details, minimum players, dates of birth, duplicate shirt numbers, transfer details, photo, permission letter - is flagged until it's done. When everything is green, you're ready.

4. Follow the deadlines

Your team page shows the deadlines for your edition. The two that matter most:

  • Federation permission letter - upload it to your team page at the latest two months before the tournament.
  • Team information (players, travel, rooming) - complete by 15/01/2027, so transfers, accommodation and the age check run smoothly.
5. One invoice, one payment

By 15/02/2027 you receive one invoice per team, covering all participation, accommodation and extras. It must be paid in full, in one payment, by bank transfer, by 15/03/2027 - always using the reference number printed on the invoice.

Unpaid invoices

Teams with unpaid invoices cannot take part in the tournament.

6. Match schedule

The match schedule is published 2–4 weeks before the tournament on the website - groups, kick-off times and fields. The organisation may still adjust times, groups and fields; changes are announced to team managers and published on the official channels.

7. Tournament guide

Two weeks before the tournament you receive the tournament guide - share it with your players, coaches and parents. It contains everything about your tournament week: arrival and departure, hotel, check-in and check-out, bus times, match times, meal times, venues and contacts.

8. On site
  • Tournament staff are present at the venue throughout the day.
  • Ambulance and physiotherapists are on site during the tournament.
  • The tournament office is open from Friday's age check (11:00–18:00) until the tournament ends on Sunday.
  • Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs and other pyrotechnics are not allowed anywhere at the venue.
9. Don't forget - team checklist
  • Passport or ID card for every player and coach - plus a photo of each document on your phone
  • Federation permission letter uploaded (two months before)
  • Team photo uploaded
  • Team list complete: every player with date of birth and a unique shirt number
  • 5–6 club pennants - one to exchange before each match
  • Your own medicine bag - physios and ambulance are on site, but bring your day-to-day basics (tape, spray, plasters)
  • Own warm-up balls and water bottles
  • Numbered shirts matching your team list; football boots with no metal studs
  • European Health Insurance Cards and private insurance documents - the EHIC does not cover sports injuries in Spain
  • Good mood - we'll take care of the rest

Tournament Regulations

The Tournament is played in accordance with the FIFA Laws of the Game and the regulations of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Catalan Football Federation (FCF). The Tournament is approved by the Catalan Football Federation (FCF) and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). These Regulations set out the modifications that apply to the Tournament.

1Age check and accreditation

1.1
The age check takes place on Friday for teams arriving during the day on Friday, or on Saturday before the first match for teams arriving late on Friday.
1.2
Teams arriving earlier than Friday must make their own way to Futbol Salou for the age check on Friday.
1.3
The age check office is open on Friday from 11:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday from 75 minutes before the first match; the tournament office then remains open until the Tournament ends on Sunday.
1.4
Each player must be present in person and show proof of identity and age (passport or ID card); a clear photo of the document on a phone is accepted.
1.5
A player who cannot present a valid document cannot participate in the Tournament.
1.6
A player may play in one age class only and for one team only during the Tournament.
1.7
Team coaches must show proof of identity (passport or ID card with photo). A maximum of 2 coaches may be registered per team, and only registered coaches receive tournament wristbands.
1.8
All players and coaches must wear their tournament wristband until the end of the Tournament. Lost or broken wristbands are replaced at the tournament office on presentation of a passport or ID card (a photo on your phone or a paper copy is accepted for replacement).
1.9
If a team fields a player who is not properly registered and accredited, the team loses that match 3–0.
1.10
Clubs must obtain the authorisation of their national football association to take part in an international tournament abroad (FIFA international-match form) and upload it to their team page on myteam.info at the latest two months before the Tournament.

2Squads and match format

All age classes at Barcelona Football Festival are played in the 7v7 format.

2.1
11v11: minimum 13, maximum 25 players per team.
2.2
7v7: minimum 8, maximum 16 players per team.
2.3
Age dispensations: automatically granted for up to 4 players per team (2 players in 7v7) who are a maximum of one year older than the age class.
2.4
A maximum of two teams per club may be registered in each age class. The tournament organisation may make exceptions in the case of last-minute cancellations (inside two weeks before the tournament).
2.5
Minimum number of players to start a match: 7 players in 11v11 and 5 players in 7v7 (FIFA / FCF Laws of the Game). If a team is left with fewer players on the field during a match, the referee ends the match. The match is awarded to the opposing team 3–0, or with the score at the moment of stoppage if that was more favourable to them.
2.6
Matches are played with a size 5 ball (11v11) and a size 4 ball (7v7). The tournament provides the match balls (Select Super Brillant); teams must bring their own balls for warm-up. Goals follow the FCF / RFEF norms: 7.32 × 2.44 m in 11v11 and 6 × 2 m in 7v7.
2.7
Match duration is set per age class and is published in the age class information and match schedule on the tournament website - typically 2 × 20 minutes in 11v11 and 2 × 15 minutes in 7v7.
2.8
All 11v11 matches are officiated with assistant referees (linesmen).
2.9
7v7 matches are played by the same rules as a normal 11v11 match, in accordance with the FCF Football 7 Laws of the Game: play restarts with goal kicks taken by the goalkeeper with the foot from the ground, normal two-handed throw-ins are used, and the back-pass rule applies - the goalkeeper may not pick the ball up with the hands when a team-mate deliberately passes it with the foot or throws it in directly.
2.10
In 7v7, a goal cannot be scored directly from the kick-off, a throw-in, a goal kick, or from the team's own half; a direct free kick counts as a goal only if taken from the opponent's half.
2.11
In both formats, if the goalkeeper controls the ball with the hands for more than 8 seconds, a corner kick is awarded to the opposing team (IFAB Laws of the Game).
2.12
Each team plays 4–6 matches, as stated in the terms and conditions; usually five (5) matches are planned for each team. If an opponent does not appear, the match is recorded as a 3–0 win for the team present; no compensation is due, and the team may use the field for training during the allotted time.

3Offside

3.1
The offside rule applies in 11v11 matches according to the FIFA Laws of the Game.
3.2
In 7v7 matches, offside applies only in the zone between the marked offside line and the goal line; the offside line is marked between the goalkeeper's area and the halfway line.

4Group stage

4.1
Match won: 3 points. Match drawn: 1 point. Match lost: 0 points.
4.2

If two or more teams finish level on points, the ranking is decided in this order:

  1. Goal difference in all group matches
  2. Goals scored in all group matches
  3. Result(s) of the match(es) between the teams concerned
  4. Goal difference in the match(es) between the teams concerned
  5. Goals scored in the match(es) between the teams concerned
  6. Penalty shoot-out (5 kicks per team) in accordance with FIFA rules
4.3
Where an age class has more than one group, teams from the same club are placed in different groups.

5Play-off matches

5.1
If a play-off match ends in a draw, the winner is decided directly by a penalty shoot-out: 5 kicks per team and, if still level, sudden death, in accordance with FIFA rules except as stated below. There is no extra time.
5.2
Any player correctly registered and accredited for the team and involved in the match may take a kick, including players who were on the bench when the match ended. Each kick is taken by a different player; every eligible player must kick once before any player kicks a second time.
5.3
The team may choose any eligible player as goalkeeper for the shoot-out and may change the goalkeeper between kicks in case of injury.
5.4
If the teams have an unequal number of eligible players, the referee decides the shoot-out procedure.

6Substitutions

6.1
Substitutions are unlimited and "flying": they may be made without stopping the game and without the referee's permission.
6.2
The player leaving the field must be fully off the pitch, always through the bench zone, before the substitute enters through the same zone.
6.3
A substituted player may re-enter the match.
6.4
If substitutions are made improperly, the referee may change this procedure during the match and require substitutions to be made only with his permission, during a stoppage in play.

7Playing fields and equipment

7.1
Matches are played on artificial and natural grass pitches. Metal studs are strictly forbidden.
7.2
All shirts must be numbered on the back, and the numbers must match the team list. Two players may not wear the same number in the same match.
7.3
If the referee decides that the two teams' kits are too similar, the team listed second in the match programme must change shirts or wear bibs.

8Team bench

8.1
A maximum of 2 registered coaches may be on the team bench during matches, and they must be able to present proof of identity on request.

9Cautions, sending-offs and suspensions

9.1
A player shown a red card, or two yellow cards in the same match, is automatically suspended for the team's next match.
9.2
A player who is sent off may not be replaced: the team plays with one player fewer for the remainder of the match.
9.3
The Tournament Jury may extend a suspension to further matches depending on the severity of the offence. Serious offences will be reported to the player's national football federation.
9.4
If a suspended player takes part in a match, the team loses that match 3–0, and the Tournament Jury may decide, depending on the circumstances, that the team cannot continue in the Tournament.

10Protests

10.1
Protests must be handed to a Tournament Official in writing no later than 15 minutes after the end of the match, together with the protest fee of €200, which is refunded if the protest is upheld.
10.2
Protests against the referee's decisions are not accepted. All referees are appointed by the Catalan Football Federation.
10.3
All protests are resolved by the Tournament Jury, whose decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

11Team behaviour

11.1
Team leaders and coaches are responsible for the attitude and behaviour of their players, staff, parents and fans towards referees, opponents, the public, the organisation and the facilities.
11.2
Improper behaviour - protests against referees' decisions on the field, confrontations with opponents or with the organisation, or threatening, abusive or violent behaviour towards referees, tournament staff or opponents, by players, coaches, parents, supporters or anyone connected to a team - is not tolerated. In serious cases the referee may suspend the match and, if play cannot safely continue, abandon it. The referee together with the Tournament Jury establishes responsibility for the abandonment - one team, both teams, or persons connected to them.
11.3
Depending on the severity of the incident, the Tournament Jury and the organisation decide the consequences - from a warning up to expulsion of the individuals involved or the whole team from the Tournament, including removal from the venues and the accommodation. If a match is abandoned for this reason, the Tournament Jury decides its result. Teams expelled from the Tournament receive no refund.
11.4
Every serious incident is reported to the club and to the club's national football federation, and teams from that club will not be admitted to future tournaments.
11.5
Violence, threats or other criminal behaviour will additionally be reported to the police (Mossos d'Esquadra). Under Spanish law against violence in sport, such conduct - including by parents and spectators - can lead to personal administrative or criminal sanctions and bans from sports venues, independent of any tournament sanctions.
11.6
Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs and any other pyrotechnic material are prohibited anywhere at the venue and will be confiscated. Spanish law prohibits bringing pyrotechnics into sports venues.

12Trophies and awards

12.1
The four best teams of the A final in each age class receive a tournament trophy. The winners of the B, C and D finals also receive a tournament trophy.
12.2
Every player receives a medal.
12.3

In each age class the following individual awards are given:

  • Top Scorer - If two or more players score the same number of goals, the award is decided in this order: (1) higher final position of the player's team; (2) goals scored across a higher number of different matches; (3) goals scored in the final; (4) goals scored in the semi-final.
  • Best Goalkeeper - fewest goals conceded. If two or more goalkeepers concede the same number, the award is decided in this order: (1) higher number of matches played by the team; (2) higher final position of the team.
  • Best Player - chosen by the Organising Committee.

13Insurance and responsibility

13.1
All clubs must have their players insured both on and off the field. It is each club's responsibility to ensure players have private insurance: in case of injury, the European Health Insurance Card does not cover sports injuries in Spain.
13.2
The Tournament does not assume responsibility for theft or damage to property, injuries, or actions of public authorities or transport companies such as strikes or cancellations.
13.3
Clubs are responsible for the participants they register and confirm at registration that all players are physically fit for the event. The Tournament is not responsible for damage that participants cause to themselves or to other participants during the competition.

14Schedule changes and final authority

14.1
The organisation reserves the right to modify the match programme, including group compositions, kick-off times and playing fields. Changes are notified to team managers and published on the website and official channels.
14.2
Any circumstance not covered by these Regulations is decided by the Organising Committee, whose decisions are final. The organisation may amend these Regulations for the benefit of the competition; changes will be communicated to the head of each participating team.

15Bad weather

15.1
The safety of players, referees, staff and spectators comes first. The organisation, together with the referees and the venue, may delay, interrupt, shorten, move or cancel matches or the whole programme because of bad weather, including rain, thunderstorms, lightning, strong wind, extreme heat or an official weather warning issued by AEMET (the Spanish state meteorological agency).
15.2
If a match is interrupted and cannot be resumed, the score at the moment of interruption stands as the final result. Matches that cannot be played at all are recorded as 0–0 and each team receives 1 point.
15.3
To recover the schedule, the organisation may shorten match durations and change kick-off times, groups or fields.
15.4
If a tournament day, including the final day, is cancelled, every player still receives their medal, and trophies are still awarded, decided by the Organising Committee taking into account all matches played, the standings and the stage reached.
15.5
No compensation or refund is given for matches or activities affected by bad weather.

Barcelona Football Festival Barcelona Football Festival is a youth football tournament played on 29-30 May 2027 in Salou / Cambrils. All matches are played at Futbol Salou. It is open to Boys 2015-2018, playing 7v7. Packages start from €369 per person, including accommodation, full board and transfers. The tournament is played under FIFA rules and approved by Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Catalan Football Federation (FCF).

Hotel
Can we book our own / alternative accommodation?
No. Accommodation is part of the per-person package - everyone taking part stays in our official tournament accommodation. That's what keeps transfers, meals and prices working as one package.
Which hotel will we be in, and when is it confirmed?
You'll be allocated to one of our official tournament hotels/resorts. The exact hotel name is confirmed about 14 days (two weeks) before the tournament.
Can we add an extra player or person after booking?
Usually yes, subject to availability, at the per-person price. Request additional people or rooms directly on your team page (My Team Info) under the rooming list.
Age Classes
What age groups can play, and where do I find them?
Age classes vary by edition - the exact year groups are on the "Age Classes" page of your tournament's dates. That page is always the current list.
My players are slightly older than the age class - can they still play?
Players are placed by birth year. All age classes play 7v7, and a maximum of two players born one year earlier may play in the younger class. They must be on your team list like everyone else.
Will my age group play 11-a-side or a smaller format?
All age classes at Barcelona Football Festival play 7v7.
The age class I want shows as "full" - can I still get in?
Some classes fill up, and we cap the number of teams per country or region in certain classes. When a class shows as full we usually keep a waiting list - contact us: sometimes one place remains, or we can suggest a good alternative.
Do you have girls' age groups / a girls' tournament?
Yes. Some October editions include girls' age groups (listed on the website), and we run a dedicated girls-only event in June - the Barcelona Girls Cup. Check the age classes page of the relevant event for the year groups.
How many teams are usually in my age group, and what's the standard?
Numbers vary - often around 8–16 teams per age class, from strong sides to first-time travellers. Under "Results" on the website you can see which clubs took part in previous editions and get a feel for the level.
Excursions
Do you organise excursions like PortAventura?
Yes. PortAventura, the Camp Nou tour and other excursions can be added where available. You'll find the options on your team page (My Team Info) and can book them right there, until two weeks before the tournament.
General
When is the match schedule released?
The match schedule is published 2–4 weeks before the tournament on the website - groups, kick-off times and fields. Times, groups and fields can still be adjusted; changes are announced to team managers.
Are there tournament photos, and how do we get them?
Photographers cover the tournament, and the photos are published on our Facebook page after the event. Coverage of every individual team or match can't be guaranteed - follow the page and check back after the tournament.
Someone left an item on the coach / at the hotel - what do we do?
Email us as soon as possible with the bus number (if you know it), where you were dropped off, and a description and photo of the item. We'll contact the coach company and the hotel to try to recover it.
We had a great time - can we book again for next year?
Yes - many clubs return every year. October and April/Easter editions open well in advance and popular age classes fill early, so register on the website as soon as your dates are decided.
Hotel
What's the maximum number of people per room?
Maximum 4 people per room. Larger families are split across rooms - note on your rooming list which rooms belong together (e.g. "Room 1 next to Room 2") and we'll pass it to the hotel.
We have a family of 5 - how does that work?
The maximum is 4 per room, so a family of 5 takes two rooms - simply set up both rooms in your rooming list and note that they belong together.
Payments
What are the key deadlines after I book?
The dates for this edition:
  • 15/01/2027 - deadline for rooming list, players list, travel info and team photo on your team page
  • 15/02/2027 - you receive your final invoice
  • 15/03/2027 - final payment deadline
  • 2–4 weeks before: match schedule is published
The same dates are shown on your team page.
How do I pay, and what reference should I use?
The balance is paid by bank transfer against your final invoice - in full, in one payment. Always include the payment reference shown on the invoice so we can match it; we confirm by email once it arrives. Can't download your invoice? Email us and we'll send it.
What is the cancellation policy?
For participation fees and excursions: cancelling more than 60 days before the tournament - no fee; less than 60 days before - 100% per person. The team registration fee is non-refundable in all cases. We strongly recommend travel insurance for exactly this reason.
A player can't travel (e.g. injury) - can we get their money back?
Tell us before the tournament so the person can be removed in time - we can't process anything after the event if we were never told they weren't coming. Refunds follow the cancellation policy above, which is why travel insurance is strongly recommended.
If you can't accept our team, do we get the registration fee back?
Yes. If we can't accept a team (for example, the country or region quota for that age class is already full), the team registration fee is refunded in full.
The tournament didn't go ahead / we can't travel - can we transfer our payment?
If a tournament doesn't take place, your registration fee can be moved to any of our other tournaments - editions run around October and April/Easter each year.
Prices
How much does it cost, and where are the prices?
All prices are on the website under "Prices" for your edition and accommodation. We don't quote separately by email - the online prices are always the current ones.
Are supporters and family members charged differently from players?
No - the price is per person and the same for everyone: players, coaches and supporters all pay the same per-person rate.
What does the per-person price include?
The per-person package covers accommodation, full board meals with mineral water, airport transfers (Barcelona El Prat or Reus), tournament transfers, tournament entry and a medal for every player and coach. The exact inclusions for your accommodation and edition are on the "Prices" page.
Is there a discount for triple or quadruple rooms?
Yes - children aged 2–12 sharing a triple or quadruple room with at least two adults get a 25% discount in the hotels.
Do young children stay for free?
Children under 2 stay free when sharing a twin or triple room with 2 adults (baby cot available). Children aged 2–12 in a triple or quadruple room with at least two adults get a 25% discount.
Registration
How do we register a team?
Registration is done entirely online on our website - no emails needed. Complete the registration form, pay the team registration fee, and your place is secured.
Is a deposit required to book?
No deposit is required. You pay the team registration fee (600 per team) to confirm your place - that fee is your booking confirmation and is non-refundable. The balance follows later on one invoice, ahead of the final payment deadline.
Do I need final player and family numbers before registering?
You don't need final numbers, but give us your best estimate - we plan accommodation and transfers from it. Register your team to secure the place, then update players, coaches and supporters on your team page (My Team Info) - the earlier we have your real numbers, the better. You can add more people until the team information deadline; after that, only if we still have space.
How do I update my team information after booking?
Every confirmed team receives a personal team page link (My Team Info) and a Team-ID by email. Use it to edit your rooming list, players list, shirt numbers, travel details and team photo. If something is locked (for example dates or accommodation type), email us and we'll change it for you.
Can I register more than one team, and how do I name them?
Yes - register each team separately on the website. If you want specific names (e.g. "Club Name – Red" and "Club Name – White"), register them and email us the exact names; we'll update them. No confirmation email for a second team? Check your spam folder first.
How do I change the contact person or team name?
You can edit the contact person and team details on your team page (My Team Info) - the link is in your registration confirmation email.
When do registrations open for a future edition?
Registrations open well in advance - up to a year ahead. Even before registration opens, the edition's information and prices are usually already on the website. Most age classes fill up quite early, so booking your place early is recommended.
How do I cancel a team registration?
Email us and we'll cancel the team. Please check the cancellation policy below for fees and timing before you do.
Training
Can we book a training pitch before the tournament?
Yes - teams can train on Friday, the day before the tournament starts. Indicative pricing: around €100/hour for half a field and €160/hour for a full field. Transport to the training session is your own to organise.
Travel
Do you arrange flights?
No - each team books its own flights. We provide the accommodation, transfers and tournament package around whatever flights suit your group. Tip: check availability and register your team before booking flights.
By when do we need to provide flight details?
Add your travel details (including flight numbers) on your team page by 15/01/2027. If your flights aren't booked by then, that's fine - add them as soon as you have them.
Can the coach pick us up and drop us off at different airports?
Yes. Arriving at Reus and departing from Barcelona (or the other way round) is no problem - transfers can be arranged for different arrival and departure airports.
Are airport transfers included, and can parents use the shuttle buses?
Yes - transfers between the airport, the accommodation and the fields are included in the package, and parents and supporters booked through us travel on the same shuttles.
Where do we meet the tournament rep at the airport?
In Barcelona: collect your luggage, come through to the arrivals area and gather your whole group - our rep meets groups there. In Reus and Girona: go to the parking and find the bus with your team name on it.
Can we add extra nights / stay longer?
Extra nights are possible, but only if the whole group extends together - the price applies to the entire group staying on, not to individual rooms. Send us your dates and we'll confirm.
What time is hotel check-out, and what if our flight home is late?
Check-out is at 11:00 on departure day, and staying in the room later isn't possible. If your flight leaves late, ask us in advance: we can suggest an excursion (for example into Barcelona) to fill the day.
What if some of our players arrive after team registration time?
Let us know in advance. The age check runs on arrival day (Friday, 11:00–18:00) at the tournament office; anyone landing later can complete it on Saturday morning before your first match - contact us and we'll arrange it for your group.
